Weekly ethanol production of 1.003 million barrels was unchanged from the previous week and stocks fell 391,000 barrels to 25.136 million barrels, lowest since the week ending February 24th. For reference, a Bloomberg poll looked for weekly US ethanol production to be down 1,000 thousand barrels and stocks down 159,000 barrels. Early September 2022 to date ethanol production is running 3.7% below the same period year ago. US gasoline stocks fell by 4.1 million barrels to 222.6 million, its seventh consecutive weekly decline. Implied gasoline demand was up 150,000 barrels to 9.295 million barrels (up four consecutive weeks). Refinery and blender net input of oxygenates fuel ethanol was 888,000 barrels, unchanged from the previous week. Net production of combined finished reformulated and conventional motor gasoline with ethanol was 8.743 million barrels, down 6,000 barrels from the previous week and represents 92.1 percent of total finished motor gasoline, up from 91.2 percent previous week.
